About Senior Associate, Design and Communications:
We are looking for a highly creative, and purpose-driven Senior Associate, Design and Communications, a role pivotal in shaping and amplifying our brand voice. This role will design and channel the communications strategy that builds awareness, engages stakeholders, and tells compelling stories of change of our children and educators. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of communication in the development sector and brings both strategic thinking and hands-on execution capabilities for social media, digital content, design coordination, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement.

Roles and responsibilities:

Social media strategy and execution:
  1. Lead content planning, calendar management, and execution across all major social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook and YouTube)
  2. Create platform specific content that aligns with the organization’s tone and goals including posts, reels, stories and infographics.
  3. Ensure a consistent branding and messaging about Saturday Art Class across platforms

Story-telling and impact communication:
  1. Design and manage end-to-end storytelling initiatives from our stakeholders including children, educators, funders, industry partners and team members
  2. Create and anchor powerful narratives for campaigns, websites, newsletters, donor reports and more. 
  3. Support in translating program data into accessible, people-centered stories

Campaigns and community development:
  1. Design and manage communication campaigns for external events, fundraising engagements, partnerships and awareness initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to align with communication efforts with program and fundraising priorities
  3. Monitor and analyze engagement metrics and adopt growth strategies for maximum outreach and resonance. 

Content development and coordination:
  1. Design high impact and quality written content including reports, social media collaterals, blogs, press releases, emails, brochures and reports
  2. Collaborate with designers, photographers, and videographers to deliver visual storytelling assets. 
  3. Maintain and regularly update Saturday Art Class website relevant content

Media relations and PR:
  1. Build and maintain media contracts relevant to Saturday Art Class and the social impact space
  2. Pitch stories and coordinate media outreach on need basis
  3. Draft high-quality media kits and press releases for external visibility

Internal communication:
  1. Support in building internal communication systems to ensure team alignment and culture visibility
  2. Release period internal newsletters and people engagement communication as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelors or preferably a master’s in Management, Media or related fields
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in communications, social media, or story-telling preferably in development/non-profit space
  • Exceptional writing & editorial skills with an ability to adapt tones for varied audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms and hands-on experience in using tools like Canva, Google MS-Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop etc. 
  • Ability to convert complex program information into clear and engaging content suited for different audiences.
  • Understanding of SEO, digital trends and analytics
  • Strong eye for design and attention to details while managing multiple projects simultaneously. 

Skills and Mindset:
  • A solid understanding of the social impact and education landscape in India
  • Deep interest around Arts, social-emotional learning and mental health is preferred.
  • Should be able to transform stories in a form that stakeholders connect to deeply.
  • Be proficient in MS Office, Social media, Canva, and other design tools
  • Basic video editing and photography skills preferred

Location: Mumbai, India (non-negotiable)

Compensation: 5-6 LPA (Non-negotiable)
